Playstation made an announcement that they will no longer release physical games as of 2028, while also shutting down the digital store for Playstation 3 and for Playstation Vita. Digital may be more convenient in some cases, but you will never fully own what you purchase. This is the case for video games, music, and media of all types. Digital stores will eventually be shut down, support will discontinue, and titles are removed from platforms without notice. Support physical media and own what you pay for.
