🍂 DOG WORLD COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE: September 25 – October 8 🍂

We have so much to be thankful for!

We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to help where we can, but we also know there are many people in our community who could use a little extra support, including help filling their pets’ bowls.

So, leading up to Thanksgiving, we’re asking our amazing Dog World community — and anyone else who would like to join us — to come together to help both our fellow humans and our four-legged friends.

From September 25 through October 8, we’ll be collecting human and pet food donations at Dog World.

😃FOR OUR HUMAN FRIENDS:

All human food donations will be donated to the Ottawa Food Bank. We welcome donations of non-perishable food items. The following are currently listed by the Ottawa Food Bank as some of their most-needed items for Fall 2026:

• Canned fruit
• Canned beans
• Canned tomatoes
• Pasta & pasta sauce
• Baby food
• Baby diapers
• Oatmeal packets
• Whole-grain granola bars
• Dried fruit
• Fruit cups

🐶FOR OUR FURRY FRIENDS:

Pet food donations will be divided between the Ottawa Humane Society’s Emergency Pet Food Bank and Ottawa Paw Pantry, both of which help support pets and families in our community.

We’re collecting:

• Dry or wet dog and cat food
• Dog and cat treats
• Dry dog and cat food is especially needed!

⭐️ DONATION GUIDELINES:

All food must be unopened, unexpired and in its original packaging. Pet food packaging must also be sealed and undamaged. Please, no homemade or home-packaged food.

⭐️ DROP-OFF:

You’re welcome to bring your donation with you when dropping off or picking up your dog, or stop by outside of our regular drop-off and pick-up hours.

We’ll have a designated donation area set up by our main building, making it easy to drop off your items whenever you’re here.

Whether it’s one can, one bag of kibble or a whole box of groceries, every donation helps.
