It’s time to shift away from toxic positivity and the idea that being spiritual means you must always be calm, positive, loving, forgiving, enlightened, and completely unbothered by other people’s nonsense. Respectfully… no.
Sometimes personal growth looks like meditation and gratitude. Sometimes it looks like setting a boundary. Sometimes it looks like admitting you were wrong. And sometimes it looks like recognizing that you’re hungry, tired, overstimulated, and absolutely not in the mood to be anyone’s unpaid emotional support department.
Being spiritual means learning how to live it with greater awareness. You can be compassionate & have boundaries, you can be loving & disagree, you can believe in the interconnectedness of all things & decide you need a quiet evening alone.
It’s called balance my friends! 🫶🏻
What spiritual misconception would you like to retire?
