Stittsvilleβs Carp Road Flea Market is closing.
The announcement came from the vendors and owners on Facebook, who said it came with heavy hearts. More than fifty years, every Sunday, nine to five.
The site has been three things at once for most of that time. Kondruss Gallery. The flea market itself. And the Barbie Museum.
You still have some Sundays. Indoor vendors are on site until the end of September. The outdoor market runs until the end of October. Vendors are discounting merchandise until the doors close.
The note from the vendor family thanked everyone who supported local and kept flea market life going, and said that over the years they all became a family.
If you have been going for years, this is the last stretch.
What are your favourite memories of it, what did you find there over the course years?
