11 years, 11 spring markets - and they just keep getting better. As a market producer, we can only do so much. Pick the right date & venue. Attract good applicants. Curate a banger lineup. Be a good organizer. And market & promote as best we can.
Then it’s up to you. The vendors that show up as their best brand ambassadors X the shoppers that show up ready to support local creative small businesses. And then sprinkle in a bit of good luck with the right weather & other factors.
This weekend, it all came together beautifully. And we couldn’t be more grateful.
But something bigger happened. I started to enjoy this again. After covid, this really wasn’t fun anymore. The uncertainty. The collective angst. The changing dynamics and how we did things. And just not knowing if people would show up really left me considering how many more I had in me. I’ve always said as long as makers & shoppers keep showing up, I’ll keep going. And this past weekend, we live to see another day
