A little PSA from a very tired small-business owner:

When you own a small business, you do EVERYTHING. I’m the buyer, salesperson, bookkeeper, marketer, photographer, website manager, customer service department, delivery driver and cleaning crew: all while trying to have an actual life outside of work.

My time is valuable because there is never enough of it.

Please don’t give a small-business owner the runaround. Don’t commit to purchasing something, require repeated messages to complete payment, schedule pickup times you don’t show up for and then change your mind weeks later.

That doesn’t just waste time. It can prevent us from selling the product to someone else, tie up inventory and cost us actual money.

Life happens, just communicate honestly and respect the time, energy and resources that go into running a small business. ❤️

As I move my first baby to university today 😭🎓, Patty & Selma apparently decided we needed to brighten things up with a little orange. 🧡

If you’ve been here a while, you’ll remember that last year I headed off to the S-EXPO in Vancouver… and came home with SOOOOO many goodies, a brain absolutely bursting with new product knowledge, and a very happy heart after getting to see so many of my old friends from our past company. ❤️

This year, unfortunately, I can’t attend personally… BUT Amanda has stepped up and is officially representing Bold Boutique at the S-EXPO today & tomorrow in Vancouver! 🙌🔥

So please help me wish her the MOST amount of fun, lots of learning, lots of laughs, and 🙏🙏🙏 that she finds TONS of cool new s**t that I obviously need to bring into the boutique for fall. 😂

🎃 HALLOWEEN COSTUMES ARE (sort of) HERE! 🎃

After some serious consideration, I decided the timing and logistics just weren’t on my side to bring in costumes as an entire department this year as I originally had wanted to, and hinted at 🙈. I will have a very limited selection of Halloween costumes and accessories available in the boutique.

BUT I can special order from a HUGE selection of additional styles from my suppliers! 👻

Costumes are available in a variety of styles and sizes from XS-5X depending on the individual costume. As always, I do offer try before you buy.

Special orders take approximately 2–4 weeks to arrive, so the deadline to place your Halloween order will be OCTOBER 1.

I won’t be posting the full catalogs here, but if you would like to browse them, comment below or send me a message and I’ll send the links directly to you. 🙏

Whether you want cute, funny, bold, spooky or full-on showstopper…there are SO many options! For clarity sake; these are HALLOWEEN costumes, not bedroom costumes. I have a selection of those available year round. 🤣

Adults with special needs still have human needs. ❤️
They have feelings, desires, curiosity and the right to dignity, education and safe options - just like every other adult.

On a few occasions, I’ve been contacted by caregivers and asked to meet with someone who needed a little extra support finding products that were safe and appropriate for their individual needs. I’ve been able to sit with them, explain their options without embarrassment or judgement, demonstrate how things work and help them make informed choices about their own body.

Honestly, it lights a fire in me every single time. 🔥

Adults with disabilities are often infantilized or left out of conversations surrounding relationships, intimacy and their own bodies. Requiring additional support does not make those needs disappear.

This is a kind of empowerment we don’t talk about nearly enough and it’s one I’m incredibly proud to offer.

Everyone deserves dignity. Everyone deserves education. Everyone deserves safe options. And everyone deserves support without shame or judgement. ❤️
