The Little Fall Festival is back.
This year, bring your own apples and jugs and get your fresh apple cider made on the spot. In case there's a big rush, we will allow 1/2 bushel per person and then you let the next person have a turn.

We will be putting cooked corn in bags for you to take home. Children under 12 may help by husking the corn and scooping corn into bags. Teens over 12 may help to cut the corn off the cobs. Everyone who helps will get to take one bag of corn home. Everyone must wash their hands, wear a hairnet and an apron. If you have an apron, bring one.

We will be spinning off honey for only one hour to prevent the wasps from bothering us. We will be giving samples only. No free honey because it's too hard to come by.

Children under 12 years old may have ONE $5 dish/cone of ice cream for half price. Between 1-4 Sept 26.

We know it's the plowing match. We considered changing the date but there really is no other time to have it. . So the date stays.

This is a scam email. Do not send money to Paisley Christmas Market until you see me face to face or someone you personally called is present. Whoever this scammer is, is good at reading our new website. ALL markets are at risk. That doesn't mean don't go. . . Yes we have space for a few more people. ..... it means be careful. I do not mind if you check with me before putting your information online. They are collecting your information as much as they are trying to collect your money. This is the second attempt to steal your information using my name. I've also reported this to the police.

Today I had some helpers and we put up 23.5 pounds of winter corn. We won't be hungry this winter. And you don't have to be either. It was a pretty good deal for both of us. I provided the corn and they provided the woman power. We split the harvest. This is the first of many. The Produce Prep Program has begun. If I gave you a bag of this corn, grown by an Elderslie farmer and picked this morning, what would you make with it? You can put the recipe on the comments below so we can all enjoy it. Me? I'd just add salt and butter and eat it with a bit of rainbow trout from Manitoulin and a fresh chemical free potato (with salt and butter). Maybe a glass of Kambucha. Mmm.
