In recent weeks, I have been gifted a beautiful collection of sea glass from friends Shawn C., Shelley B., and Beulah D., as well as a wonderful selection of tumbled glass from Becky H.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for these incredibly thoughtful gifts. 💙🩵
Looking through all the beautiful pieces in shades of cobalt blue, aqua blue, aqua green, brown, amber, green, red, lavender, and pink was truly inspiring.
The photos show just some of the pieces these wonderful gifts have inspired me to create. From colourful sea glass earrings to one-of-a-kind pendants, each piece of glass has been carefully selected, hand-drilled, and finished with silver-coated copper wire. Some of the pendants have also been paired with a charm, while others have been left beautifully simple so the natural colour, shape, texture, and markings of the glass can shine through.
I love that no two pieces are exactly alike. The little differences in colour, shape, texture, and character are what make creating with sea glass and tumbled glass so special—and what make each finished piece of jewelry truly one of a kind. 🌊✨
