I had no idea how much better new handle bar grips can make you ride until I've changed mine from the ones that were on my bike for over 20 years. I should have them in a museum- as most dont believe me when I say I've had my grips for over 20 years!

When did you change your grips last? What difference did you notice?

Join Special Mention of the Day, post your answers, I'll send the best ones chosen by you new grips anywhere in the world so you can feel the relief I've felt!

This bike, Giant Half Way, started the dream. This page, the give aways, the connection, the hopes of growing and making a difference in Tiny and beyond.

I have bike parts, accessories and components left over to me from a bike mechanic who ran a small repair shop downtown Toronto. I am giving all of it away for free and installing it for free on my own time to make bikes rideable and people active and moving.

If you would like to receive free bike components from me, I have to install them on your bike.

Further, this bike has to be a personal bike of yours which you intend to keep and use- not simply to sell off after.

Further, the bike components you receive from me for free have to replace broken or worn out components that cannot be fixed. This is to reduce waste.

Further, to receive free components and have me install it for free on your bike, the components I have, have to make your bike rideable.

I am getting many requests regarding this offer from persons who truly need it. However, free components that I have already available to install for free, often will not make these bikes rideable on their own. New cables, housing, chains, tubes and tires, are required for most of these bikes to make them rideable for someone in need completely free to them.

I am looking for retail partners in the biking industry and beyond who share Bike Tune Up in Lafontaine goal of sustainability, mobility and activity.

Everyone who shares Bike Tune Up in Lafontaine goal can contribute
