Another great year in the books!! The other evening I got the chance to pick with my one-year old granddaughter, and as the light slanted through the bushes and her tiny fingers plucked berry after berry, I couldn't imagine a better cap to the season. 

Thank you to everyone who came out this year to share in our love for blueberries, whether you picked, bought pre-picked, got treats from the cafe to enjoy on the patio or stocked up on jam to enjoy in the cold months. We got lots of comments about how many of you enjoyed the stories in our new cookbook, and each one filled our bucket with joy. If you didn't grab one, you'll have another chance at our Store Day this fall.

Thank you also to Max, Sharlee, Anna, Lori, Nancy H., Nancy R., Cade, Jenika and everyone else who helped keep u-pick days running smoothly all season long.

Our ‘Seniors day’ (55+, may be accompanied by one younger guest) is scheduled for Labour Day Monday, aka September 1. Hours will be from 9am to noon. The shop will have baked goods but prepicked will be very limited, with no reservations.

Our Sunday u-picks are now closed for the season. But we will be having one more weekday u-pick especially for seniors. Our ‘Seniors day’ (55+ with one younger guest) will be in a week or two when our latest ripening variety is ready. We will keep you posted when we know. CHANGE TO LAST POST!

We will be open for our regular Sunday hours of 9am - 2pm this Sunday. The warm sun and the glorious rain have done their job and we have lots of berries that are nicely ripened. It will be business as usual and we hope to even sneak in another weekday pick. See you all on Sunday!

We will be open Sunday August 17th from 9am -12pm. There are still berries to be had but they are scattered about. Instead of being assigned a place, you will be free to roam and find the best of what’s left.

We are planning to have a ‘seniors pick day’ with our latest ripening variety in a couple of weeks, but other than that, this might be the last public u-pick of the season.

Our cafe will be open with blueberry coffee and tasty baked goods. And our ice cream machine has been working! We are serving up vanilla ice cream liberally topped with blueberry syrup. It’s been a hit! We've also still got a few copies left of our new cookbook.

Thank you to everybody who braved the heat to come out on Sunday and Monday. It was a scorcher, and the berries have responded accordingly.

With so many fast-ripening berries (and to hopefully give pickers a reprieve from the heat) we'll have an evening pick on Wednesday Aug 13th from 5pm - 7pm.

If you've already picked our early season blueberry varieties, we recommend stopping by to try out these mid-to-later season varieties!
