Hummingbirds are creatures of extraordinary habit. Once they find a reliable feeder, they'll return to the exact same spot year after year — sometimes to the same branch, the same perch, the same time of day. They have that good a memory.
Which means if they're not coming to yours, something specific is putting them off. And it's probably not what you think.
There are nine common reasons a feeder gets ignored, and several of them are things well-meaning people do on purpose — believing it helps. One involves where you hang the feeder. Great advice! But only look for Hidcote and Munstead for us in 🇨🇦 zone 5b. Also not to trim back again in later April 🙌. No compost please... remember most tags are usa - add 1
