Shop Canadian Made Mennonite Furniture, Home Decor, Antiques, local Artisans, baked goods and other gourmet food and more! The store was opened in 1997 by Debbie and Darrell Junkin in downtown Peterborough on the corner of Sherbrooke and Water street. It was always their hope to start a small business in the community where their roots were. They opened the store with the intent to showcase local
talent and provide a unique shopping experience to its visitors. In 2009, Craftworks moved to its new location at the Barn near Fowler's Corners. The business has flourished and expanded to include furniture, home décor, along with a large number of crafters and antique vendors filling the aisles of the store with unique gifts and treasures. The store also sells a range of food stuffs such as Empire cheese, local maple syrup, local meat products, Mennonite fruit and meat pies, and a large assortment of new, classic, and home-made candies. In recent years, Debbie and Darrell have welcomed their daughter Shannon, son Aaron and daughter-in-law Ashley to the family business. Craftworks is a proud member of the Chamber of Commerce and Retail Council of Canada, as well as a supporter of The Arthritis Society, The Peterborough Kinsmen Club and Fowlers Corners Lions Club.
