This week came out of brocantes in Marseille, Avignon, Carpentras and Paris — furniture, art, and the kind of table pieces that survived a century of Sunday lunches.

They sold out. So we went back to France and got more. 🇫🇷👑

Fèves — tiny porcelain charms traditionally hidden inside a French Galette des Rois every January. Whoever finds one in their slice gets to wear the crown and be king or queen for the day.

Somewhere along the way people started collecting them. Trading them. Hunting for them at brocantes across France. Displaying them in jars, on shelves, in shadow boxes — because once you see one up close, you understand immediately why nobody could bring themselves to throw them away.

They are miniature works of art. Each one different. Each one irreplaceable. Each one a tiny piece of French history that fits in the palm of your hand.
