We are Friperie Valois Thrift Store/Donation Centre located in Pointe Claire. We are the West Island's Specialists in Clothing Recycling. Did you know that clothing is the largest source of waste in North America? It is our Mission to reduce the amount of clothing waste that will end up in landfills. If you have good quality, wearable used clothing, shoes and accessories that you would like to get rid of and would like picked up fast, we can offer free home pick up within 24-48 hours in the West Island (3 bags or more). Some of the clothing received will be sold in our store so we can provide inexpensive good quality clothing and shoes to families on tight budgets. With the rising cost of clothing in Thrift Store chains we are dedicated to offering the best quality clothing and shoes at the most affordable prices and we can only do that with your help. The clothing that we don't keep will be used to support non-profit organizations in the Montreal area. Approximately 95% of all the clothing, shoes and accessories we receive will be reused or recycled in some way, keeping it out of landfills. In 2017 we estimate that through our recycling efforts we were able to redirect over 50,000 lbs of clothing alone from landfills. With your help we can continue making those numbers grow.

If you live in a house, bags can be left on your doorstep, so you don't need to even be home, for your convenience. Apartment pick ups can be easily scheduled. Call us today to arrange a pick up 514-501-7015. Bags can also be dropped off at our location at Friperie Valois 77 Avenue Donegani, Pointe-Claire H9R 2W1. If live outside the West Island and have 10 or more bags to donate we may be able to pick up in your area.

*Please note that we are a business not a non-profit organization and that our Mission is recycling and redirecting clothing from landfills and providing low cost, good quality clothing and shoes to families on tight budgets. Donating your clothing to deserving charities is always a good option. But make sure you know who you are giving your donations to as not all organizations are what they seem. Do your homework if this is a concern for you. Also keep in mind that much of the clothing that is donated to charities can end up as waste as many charities are not equipped to handle the volume of clothing coming their way. Again do your homework as there is a lot of misinformation out there. Supporting local West Island eco-entrepreneurs like us who build our business models around effectively keeping waste out of landfills, while offering low cost clothing and shoes to families on tight budgets is an excellent choice in 2018.
