A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our Summer Reading Bingo and congratulations to the winners of the draws: Katie, Kaitlyn, and Finnegan.

It was so much fun connecting with everyone over what they enjoyed reading this summer, I hope that even without the bingo cards we can all continue to explore new types of books and share with each other what we are reading.

What Would Dolly Do?
That is the question of the day.
Well since Dolly Parton made it her life mission to give books to kids, an anonymous donor made it possible for us to offer kids who come into the store this week a complementary book from the antique peck (yes an actual measurement, that also seems kinda fitting today) basket by the cash desk.

This is a while supplies last sort of thing.

A reminder to bring in your Summer Reading Bingo Cards this week (at any level of completion) for prizes.

Jim and I were having a friendly competition to see who could complete the challenges first and he won (honestly by a landslide even when I playfully suggested really long books for him to read to try to slow him down 🤷🏼‍♀️😉🤣). It was all in good fun and I’m sure I have a margarine tub with pennies in it somewhere so he can enjoy the feeling of winning a full card beach bingo back in the day.

So after all that rambling, remember to bring your BINGO cards in by the end of the day Saturday August 29th.
