The pickling season has officially started! Cukes and Zucchini are producing and the first of hundreds of jars of Old Fashioned Dills, Bread and Butter Pickles, and September and Zucchini Relish are being filled. My storeroom was almost empty so great to see the boxes on the shelves again. Shelves are stocked at The Nutcracker Market on Marine.

Celebrating Canada at the Senior's Monthly Dinner Friday June 26 and the Basket Case has donated a basket of goodies to help them celebrate.

This is the first time I ever needed a step stool to harvest dill! Some of the volunteer dill in the greenhouse is ready but has grown so tall in the raised beds it has almost reached the roof of the greenhouse. A few of the larger heads were about 14 inches and the stems of the main stalks are about an inch. I could freeze enough dill from one head for 7 or 8 jars of dills!

It's that time of year again to celebrate all the fathers! The Basket Case is donating this basket to the Senior's Assoc. monthly dinner to honor all the dad's in our community.
