Here's a simple Blue Moon ritual that can be done outdoors or indoors with just a few items.
Simple Blue Moon Ritual
MAY 31ST
Purpose: Release what no longer serves you and welcome new blessings.
You Will Need:
A blue or white candle
A small piece of paper
A pen
A fire-safe bowl or cauldron
Step 1: Prepare Your Space
Sit quietly beneath the Blue Moon or near a window where you can see its light. Light your candle and take a few deep breaths.
Step 2: Release
On your paper, write down:
Habits you wish to release
Fears holding you back
Situations you are ready to let go of.
Read the list aloud.
Say:
"Under the light of the Blue Moon bright,
I release these burdens into the night.
No longer mine, no longer stay,
Moon above, take them away."
Step 3: Burn and Release
Safely burn the paper in your cauldron or fire-safe bowl.
As it burns, visualize those worries and obstacles dissolving into moonlight.
Step 4: Set Your Intentions
Close your eyes and think of one wish or goal you wish to manifest before the next moon cycle.
Say:
"Blue Moon rare, hear my plea,
Open the path that's meant for me.
With gratitude and trust I stand,
Guided by moonlight, heart, and hand."
Step 5: Close the Ritual
Raise your hands toward the Moon and say:
"Blue Moon above, thank you for your light.
May blessings flow through this sacred night.
As I will it, so mote it be."
Allow the candle to burn safely for a few minutes while you reflect, then extinguish it.
