Alyssa, metis owner and opporator of Kaze Productions, and her husband Connor live in Prince Albert with one of their best friends Chris and several fur babies. Kaze Productions was established in 2012 and named after a nickname given to Alyssa in high-school, kaze, which is Japanese for wind because Chris described her as a breath of fresh air. Since the companies creation, Alyssa has strived to add value to Saskatchewan providing affordable gift options and photography services. Combining a love of serving others, cosplay, and all her favorite things, Kaze continues to adapt, pivot, and operate on values of family, adventure and community. List of products and services

~Pop up gift shop at tradeshows, street fairs, expos and more. Some of our main items are currently: Pump hats (hats with moving ears such as unicorns, Pikachu, Sonic and Spiderman), wax sealing stamps, kitty toe bean socks, necklaces and more!

~ Supplimentologist: Having fibromyalgia herself, Alyssa has studied supplimentology which is the art of filling nutritional gaps 99% of us have with suppliments to increase quality of life. There is no specific certification for this, but she is qualified having been doing research for over 10 years in finding a way or making one to live well with her chronic condition fibromyalgia.

~ Graphic design: While choosing to take on few projects in this area, Alyssa specializes in custom funeral cards. Alyssa holds certificates with honors having completed Sask Polytechnic's New Media Course in 2013-2014 which has attributed to her training in both photography and graphic design.

Persistence finally paid off at this one!

November of 2018 finally brought Kaze into the Riverside School Christmas Trade Show in Prince Albert.

After nearly two years of trying to get in, this show felt like a big milestone. Riverside had a reputation for being one of the most well-attended and hardest-to-get-into Christmas shows in the city, filled with local vendors every holiday season.

Part of what made it so special was that it was hosted by the school, which helped keep table costs accessible while still drawing a huge crowd of Christmas shoppers.

The event was organized by Tracy, who handled an enormous amount of work behind the scenes. She was also incredibly patient with Alyssa’s very determined attempts to get into the show — which included stopping by the school, texting, and even showing up at the event itself to ask if any space had opened up yet.

This show also marked the first appearance of the medieval-style cosplay outfits, adding another costume theme to the growing Kaze show wardrobe. ⚔️

Getting that booth spot felt like finally opening a door that had been patiently knocked on for a long time.

✨ Behind the Scenes! ✨
Sometimes a booth upgrade starts with looking across the aisle at another vendor and going, “Huh… those would work REALLY well for the Pump Hats.” 😂
While at Regina Anime Fest earlier this year, Kaze spotted another vendor using these folding shelves and immediately loved how quickly they could be set up and packed away. After hunting some down, they turned out to be an absolute win and are about ten times easier than the old setup.
Of course, no new piece of equipment enters the house without undergoing a thorough Hunter inspection. 🐾 Boxes? Approved. Shelves? Climbed. Packaging? Thoroughly investigated.
Dad handled the final tweaks after a couple of the feet arrived with holes that weren’t quite lined up properly. Nothing a little father power couldn’t fix. 😂🔧
One more booth upgrade ready for the next adventure!

🕰 Memory Monday ✨
The booth was stretching its wings at this show!
October 2018 brought Kaze into Gateway Mall for the first time. It may have been tied to a Halloween event, though the exact details are a little fuzzy now.
What is easy to remember is the size of the setup. This became our largest display yet, stretching roughly 18 feet across, with floor stands on the outside loaded up with all sorts of hanging goodies.
By this point the collections were definitely starting to get a little… ambitious. Between the jewelry cases, sock wall, racks, and displays, the booth was growing wider and taller every few shows. 📦
This event also marked the first appearance of our steampunk cosplays, worn by Rory and Alyssa, adding a little extra flair to the already busy setup.
Looking back, this was one of those moments where the booth really started to feel big. Not just a table anymore, but a full display space that kept expanding with every new idea.

✨ Behind the Scenes! ✨

Before the doors even opened at Regina Anime Fest, there was already a pretty fantastic story happening behind the booth. 🎮💙

Alyssa had the chance to meet Peter Kelamis, one of the English voices of Goku in Dragon Ball Z, and knowing that Connor and Chris are both huge fans, Peter was kind enough to hop onto a quick video call with them before the event got underway. They each got to say hello, chat with him for a moment, and came away with a signed deck of cards as a keepsake. Peter voiced Goku in portions of the Ocean/Westwood English dubs of Dragon Ball Z, among plenty of other acting and voice roles.

It’s pretty wild who crosses paths with Kaze on these adventures. ✨

Now the question is… who will the guest star be for Regina Anime Fest 2027? 👀

🌎 TAPESTRAMA IS BACK IN PRINCE ALBERT! 🌎
JAL Handmade Creations will be representing Kaze at Tapestrama Cultural Festival, one of PA’s beautiful celebrations of the many cultures that make up our community! 💙
Expect two days filled with cultural performances, dancing, music, food, vendors and traditions from around the world. Kaze’s closest cultural connection is its Métis heritage, which is why you’ll often spot the crew proudly wearing their ribbon skirts at events like this. 🪶✨

🕰 Memory Monday ✨
This show turned into a full Sailor Moon squad!
October 2018 brought Kaze back to the Cadets show for round two, and this time the booth came with a full cosplay lineup.
Rory, Chris, and Alyssa showed up as a Sailor Moon trio: Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Moon, and of course Tuxedo Mask standing tall in that unmistakable top hat.
The costumes made the booth extra fun for visitors, and it was always a treat when people spotted the characters while browsing the displays.
That famous Tuxedo Mask top hat, however, turned out to be a bit of a storage nightmare once the show was over. It took up far more space in the house than expected… and somewhere along the way it eventually vanished.
Still, for that show at least, the trio made the booth feel a little more like a convention stage than a vendor table. 💙
