This is why I am trying so hard to break the cycle, turn back to the land for healing learning my traditions, language and culture. By reconnecting with the teachings, traditions, and ways of my ancestors, I honour those who came betore me and help ensure these stories are never forgotten.

We are closed, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟎𝐭𝐡, to observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation — a deeply personal day for our family as both of my parents, along with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, are Residential School Survivors. We are taking this time to honour their strength and resilience, reflect, and remember all the children who never made it home.

One of our amazing customers, Viola, mentioned to us that her mom bought a ribbon skirt kit from Heritage Shine Creations when we were set up at the Women’s Wellness Conference in April 2026. It truly takes a family to keep this business running.

Normally, custom shirt orders aren't part of our usual routine—and taking a large order in such short notice was definitely stepping out of our comfort zone! But when the request came in, we decided to take it on the challenge and get it done.

Making over 80 Every Child Matters shirts under a tight deadline. Managing the heat press, keeping every alignment precise, handling the packing, and pushing through the physical grind tested our endurance. We have so much respect for the folks who do shirt production every day—it takes some serious patience!

We couldn't have pulled this off on a crunch timeline without family stepping in, rolling up their sleeves, and helping with every step of the process. Seeing all 80 plus shirts finished, stacked, and hot off the press makes all the hustle and late hours completely worth it. So beyond grateful for the hands and hearts behind this business. 🧡💪

Final Day at the 2026 Cultural Gathering of Nations! 🌟

What an incredible few days it’s been at the Ovintiv Events Centre in Dawson Creek. Being here feels like a true homecoming and a meaningful way to reconnect with culture and people in this area. Also getting to watch my daughter dance and place in two categories made this weekend even more special!
