Attention locals! For the winter months only, we’re doing monthly silent auctions! Auctions will run for the duration of the month and take place IN STORE ONLY. If you’d like to know more about the items or place a bid, come on down. And if you place the winning bid, you must be able to pick up the item, WE WILL NOT SHIP.

Starting strong for October we have this incredible brand new Dale of Norway Norwegian 100% wool sweater. Unisex, approx size medium, starting bid $75. She’s a beauty, folks!

Hear, ye! We’re closed a few extra days this month:

Saturday, September 19th in honour of the Giant Garage Sale set up day. If you can, go lend a hand! Set up happens at the community centre all day on the 19th, and they especially need helpers for take down after the sale on Saturday sept 20th!

Wednesday, September 23rd. We’re going bike touring 🚲🏔️⛺️

Saturday, September 30th for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 🧡

Another thrift girl summer come and gone! Thank you so much to the locals, touristas, and volunteers; to the ladies, the gents, and non binary homies; to the supporters, the haters, the Mums, and the bums! And a special shoutout to for getting us through it all!

We didn’t capture all of our outfits this summer because we were even busier and more distracted than usual, and are very much looking forward to slowing down a bit this fall, getting our feet back under us, and hopefully improving a few things around the store…stay tuned! As of now, we are also BACK TO OUR REGULAR HOURS of WEDNESDAY- SATURDAY 10 - 4.

It’s been a long, hot summer and we’re SO overdue for a Feature Friday! HUGE thank you to everyone who responded to our donation call out! The store is brimming with beautiful, unique items, a few of which are featured here…
1. A gorgeous tapestry from Morocco! The colours and details are best viewed in person. Are they slugs or camels? You decide!

2. Hiding above our window display, you may have missed this mailbox with a beautiful landscape painted on it. You may be wondering how this could be useful on an island with no mail delivery, but have you considered that your local friends and neighbours may want to drop letters off to you? Give it a shot!

3. Original art!! Person rowing!!

4. If you’re one of the many people collecting hand blown glass clowns, this little guy is looking for his forever home.

6. Not into clowns? No problem. Haunt your home with The Landlady.

7. 2 beautiful Japanese vests. We’d love to sell them to 2 very good friends but will sell them separately if you don’t have a willing vest buddy.

8. WW2 chest that folds out into a desk! Could use some love and restoration, but a truly amazing piece.

Quadra! Thanks to an incredibly busy summer so far, we are running low on donations so if you’ve been putting off bringing stuff down, now would be a great time!
