Pernambuco wood will remain in Appendix II. Congratulations to the CITES Canada team for chairing the working committee at COP20. Well done to Rémi Rouleau from the École Nationale de Lutherie de Québec, the Canadian Association of Violin and Bow Makers, and in particular Éric Gagné and Zacharie Rodrigue, bow makers, for organizing the meeting with CITES Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada. Bravo to our colleagues all around the world (specialy in France!). Together, we will continue to work extremely hard to preserve this species and the craft of bow making.
Le bois de pernambouc va rester en annexe II. Félicitations à l’équipe de CITES Canada d’avoir présidé le comité de travail à la COP20. Bravo à Rémi rouleau de l’Ecole Nationale de lutherie de Québec pour son implication, l’Association de luthiers et archetiers du Canada, en particulier Éric Gagné et Zacharie Rodrigue archetiers pour avoir organisé la rencontre avec CITES Canada et le Ministère de l’Environnement et du changement climatique Canada. Bravo aux collègues de partout dans le monde (en particulier en France!). Nous allons tous ensemble continuer a travailler extrêmement fort à préserver cette espèce et le métier d’archetier qui nous est cher.
