Just one of the mini quilts you’ll find in Melanie Traylor upcoming book

I’m not sure yet what will become of this beautiful star, I’m thinking maybe on a crewneck or a tote bag. Mini quilts are fun because you can learn a new skill or brush up on an old one, like half square rectangles. Plus there are so many ways to use them.

Normally I go fabric first then try and find a good pattern to use , but this time around I had the pattern first and then looked at all my fabrics.

Have you ever made a quilt that you absolutely love? This was my first quilt I ever had quilted! Then I promptly put it on a shelf, never to be touched or used. It’s lived its life on display.

Ive decided to either use, or let them go somewhere they will be loved.
