Calyx Floral Design is an internationally published floral design team based in Red Deer, Alberta. Owner and principal designer Travis Mills began her career as a 14-year-old student working part-time in a flower shop and it bloomed from there! She went on to get her degree in botany, but her true passion was design. The name Calyx Floral Design is inspired by her background in botany. Calyx is a
botanical term for the protective layer around the petals of a flower. From working at Thomas Hobbs Florist in Vancouver to opening her own floral studio in 2007; Travis has continually surprised people around her with amazing creativity, style and attention to detail. Never afraid to push boundaries or break floral rules, her desire is to create the most astonishing flowers for her clients and delivering beyond their expectations. Calyx Floral Design has evolved into a full floral studio with a team of creative designers specializing in weddings and events. A range of services are offered, from custom floral design, build-a-bouquet packages, floral workshops, seasonal designs, outdoor décor and special arrangements perfect for a loved one. Travis and her team are passionate about what they do, from lavish over-the-top tablescapes to adorable floral crowns and jawdropping bouquets.
