Hey everyone!
First off, we want to thank everyone for supporting us through thick and thin. With everything going on in this world right now, we are absolutely feeling the effects, and not in a positive way. However, we are pivoting and making the best of what we can, when we can. We will be around for the long run, no matter what happens in daily life! Thank you again for continuing to support us and we look forward to seeing you again!!!
Now to the important thing.... We have been hearing some comments and want to quell the rumor.... WE ARE NOT AN "AMERICAN STORE"!!! We are a 100% CANADIAN OWNED and operated business, that just happens to sell some American products.
A few facts about our business:
- We source products from many suppliers. Yes, a lot are American based, but we do have suppliers in Calgary, Edmonton, and Eastern/Western Canada as well.
- Although we promote our US product more often, and our US product sells the best, not everything in our store is American. If we did a breakdown, over 70% of what we sell is "made in _______" or "product of ______", and NOT the United States! Over 70% of the items we stock in our store are made in Canada, Mexico, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Taiwan, or Japan, among other countries. The American stuff just happens to be more noticeable than the other stuff.
- We are pivoting to more Canadian made and foreign made items while still maintaining our American product presence. Simply put, we cannot just get rid of all of our American product because that would bankrupt us. We do have a lot of people that want the American sugar-free and gluten-free items because they are simply hard to find or unavailable in Canada. We can't abandon 80% of our customer base just to make the other 20% happy. No business would ever do that. It would be fatal to that business.
-Just because we sell American product doesn't mean we support everything that's going on. When you hear folks say that they "only buy Canadian" they are actually being a little hypocritical. The fact that they are posting those comments while using Facebook (an American company) on their iPhone (an American company) while sitting in a McDonald's (an American company) located inside the Walmart (an American company), shows that they are not seriously on the "Buy Canadian" bandwagon. When you buy a Coca-Cola from a store in Canada and a Coca-Cola from a store in the US, all the money still goes to Atlanta. You're still supporting an American company just by drinking Coke! Although we support the idea of people buying more Canadian than not, we just find it ironic....
-We are a 100% Canadian-owned and operated company, employing Canadian employees, buying from some Canadian suppliers, supporting Canadian charities/sports teams/organizations, contributing to the Canadian economy. 100% of our net profits, as super low as they are, literally stay in Canada! Only the cost of goods goes back down south.
Anyhow, I just felt the need to post this as we've been hearing a few comments as of late and want to insure people that we are truly NOT an "American store". We sell a little bit of everything from all over the place. And we hope our customers that have been with us for the last 6 years truly understand the situation at hand.

If you have any suggestions of what we should carry in terms of new product, let us know! If we could get more Canadian and international products in, we will absolutely do that as long as it's cost-effective.
