I’m so sad to have to write this, but we will not be at kith+kin market this weekend

This week, we received some devastating news. Our sweet Marlee has stage 4 cancer that is rapidly spreading.

One of the hardest parts of being a small business owner is having to choose between the business you care so deeply about and the people you love most. I spent so much time trying to find a way to bring my family to Saskatoon, still work the market, and not let anyone down.

Unfortunately right now Marlee is too unstable to travel. I know Iwould never forgive myself if I chose to work instead of being home with her and being there for whatever time we have left together.

I’m truly sorry to the amazing organizers who I had to cancel on, and to everyone who was looking forward to seeing me this weekend. I hope you understand how difficult this decision was.

We’ll be back in Saskatoon for MRKT on September 26-27, and I truly hope to see you all there.

Earth Day reminder 🌍

Don’t throw away your Hygge candle jars!

Pour boiling water into the jar (leave space at the top) and let it sit for about 30–40 minutes.
This will melt the coconut soy wax and loosen the wooden wick + metal base so they can be easily removed.

Be very careful with the hot water and glass—let everything cool fully before touching or pouring anything out to avoid burns.

To remove the label, fully submerge the jar in hot water + dish soap and leave it for 30 minutes.

This helps the label loosen so you can peel or scrub it off easily.

Wash once more to remove any leftover residue and it’s ready to reuse ♻️
