Handmade Hacky Sacks Available!

I've got handmade Hacky Sacks available at my pop-up location at 3643 Sherwood Dr in Regina, SK. These are available for local pickup only. I currently don't have the materials needed to ship orders.

With the recent resurgence in popularity of Hacky Sacks, I decided to try my hand at making my own. Each sack is filled with Poly-Fil Poly-Pellets, providing a consistent feel while also making them easy to care for. Simply machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and air dry.

Unlike some Hacky Sacks that are filled with popcorn, beans, rice, or other food-based materials, these Poly-Pellet-filled sacks won't attract pests and aren't susceptible to mold growth associated with organic fillers.

Whether you're looking to relive a favorite pastime, improve your foot-eye coordination, or just have some fun, these handmade Hacky Sacks are ready for action. Stop by and pick one up while supplies last!

Heart loves to “help” me crochet. Not only do I have to fight her for my yarn balls, but she’s also very invested in the stuffies I make.

The other day I needed polyfil, and the second she saw the Ziploc bag, she was determined to get inside it. She knocked it off the recliner, dragged the polyfil out, and started making a pile on the floor.

She kept coming back to her “bed” throughout the day, adding more fluff and rearranging it until it was just right.

Tonight I decided to try to “Heart-proof” the area. I pulled out the chair and table, put everything in a tote, and vacuumed the space.

Well… I clearly didn’t get the lid on fast enough, because here she is—curled up in her new favorite spot.

They have about 15 beds in different sizes, textures, and levels of softness throughout the house—two in this room alone—and this is what she chooses.

Release the Krakens!

I made my first Kraken a few years ago for my boss’s wife. Her 50th birthday was coming up, and he wanted to give her something truly special. She loves octopi, and we live in one of the coldest provinces in Canada, so a warm, one-of-a-kind hat felt perfect.

He came prepared. He brought me a photo of a Kraken hat and already knew exactly which colors he wanted. Even better, he was planning two months ahead of her birthday. From the moment I saw the picture, I knew it would be the most elaborate hat I’d ever attempted. I also knew there were at least two stitches involved that I’d never done before. I told him I’d give it a try.

That first Kraken pushed me in the best way. These are the Kraken hats I currently have for sale in my shop.

Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to send a Kraken as far as the interior of Australia. That hat traveled over 19,000 kilometers by Surface International Parcel. It took almost a month to arrive, but the wait was worth it. She was thrilled when her Kraken finally made it home.

Starburst Afghans

I absolutely love making Starburst Afghans. I work in an office where I often have to sit for long periods of time, waiting for someone to come in or for the phone to ring. Thankfully, my employers don’t mind if I crochet while I’m waiting.

I’ve learned that projects requiring a lot of counting don’t always work well in this environment—constant interruptions make it easy to lose your place. Starburst Afghans, however, are perfect. Once you complete the first four rounds, there’s no more counting required. On top of that, the color combinations you can create are absolutely stunning.

This particular blanket is one of my favorites. Someone reached out to ask if I could make a rainbow hat and blanket for the nursery they were planning for their first baby. The colors turned out beautifully, and I couldn’t be happier with how it came together.

I currently have one ready to sell. For size reference, it’s long enough to cover my 6-foot-tall husband up to his underarms while sitting, and it reaches right up to my chin—and I’m 5 feet 3 inches tall.

Once I have the info, I’ll send you a Custom Order listing link to purchase your fan’s dream hat.

I can easily modify colors for any team. Since I don't follow the Fooseball (if you know you know) please private message me and include the following info for your very own custom order:
* a picture of the team's jersey
