This is what has been happening for all those what were wondering in light of the "big upheaval". As you may have noticed, Quadriga Farm has recently had a name change to Quadriga Fundamentals. The name change was congruent with the change of location. We have moved to Blue Dot Ranch in Meanook Alberta. This is a positive, synergistic collaboration as the land base is much larger and affords many more opportunities. Fear not, all of the original horse interests are still being pursued along with an accelerated opportunity for learning. We will still be facilitating likeminded learning, instructors and clinicians and are working on establishing affiliate stables to host these people and events. We are currently strongly developing the other side of the business which some of you already know is pasture management for small holdings, specializing in horse properties and hobby farms. There will be courses, talks, and consulting services on these topics available starting this spring for those interested. Please feel free to reach out. It is beginning to look a lot like "BLANKET SEASON"!!! We have Weatherbeeta satin shoulder guards in stock. These are a bib-style satin shoulder guards that help to prevent the rug from rubbing the horse's shoulders. They slip on over the horse's head and have a front loop to secure it to the rug to prevent it slipping. They are considerably less restrictive than the elasticized styles. HERE THEY ARE !!! We are finally getting our fancy longlines in. These come in pairs and are made with stainless steel hardware high quality Biothane with a high end, light weight marine grade rope attachment. These have been tested by a few trainers with very good reviews so far. Due to their specially designed, light weight, hey will work well for light contact doing ground work in either a bridle or a cavesson. The Biothane is an extremely durable man made material which outperforms and out lasts leather in many ways. It is easy to clean with just soap and water and requires no oiling as it does not dry out. It is less slippery in wet conditions and remans supple in freezing temperatures. The marine grade rope is also very durable as it is meant to withstand harsh, wet, saltwater conditions in the boating industry. We currently have black and are hoping to see the brown and tan ones by early December. These are a high end product with good feel in the hands (especially those with smaller hands) as they are not thick and cumbersome as are most traditional longlines.
