Kurt Lehner is a Canadian illustrator and animation artist from Toronto, Ontario, with a lifelong passion for comic book and fantasy art. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art & Design, Kurt began his career in advertising before finding his true calling in animation, working with legendary studios such as Walt Disney, Warner Bros., Marvel, DreamWorks, and Nelvana. His extensive career as a Senior Character Designer and Development Artist spans over 20 years and includes iconic projects like Gargoyles, Space Jam, All Dogs Go to Heaven 2, Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, The Marvel Action Hour, Rupert, Ned’s Newt, and the development design of Franklin the Turtle, among many others. Now heading his own companies, Kurt continues to create outstanding work in character development, animation art, comic and fantasy art, advertising, logo design, and graphic arts. He is also an instructor and workshop speaker working with students through Ontario Educational Services and has been proudly featured in The New York Times for his contributions to the animation industry.
