Rest In Peace Good Sir, until we meet again and raise a good glass of w**e together again.

For those who may not have received the news, Dave Fritz, owner of Boudreau W**es, passed away September 14 after a bravely fought battle with cancer.
His memorial service is tomorrow, Friday 30th at 2pm - Crestwood Community League Hall.

Dave's legacy is his kindness, graciousness, understanding, and ability to immediately connect with pretty much everyone he came into contact with.

I am grateful for our endless conversations about pretty well everything, how he challenged me and opened my mind in many ways. I'll miss how excited he got when he learned something new about w**e. We shared an odd sense of humour, and sometimes I wondered if I scared him a little bit!

I'll miss him even more than how much he could drive me crazy with his last minute nonsense. And that's a whole lot.

Rest well, my Friend. You deserve it.

Ch Pesquié's Terrasses from the Rhone valley is just what the doctor ordered for today.
Loads of fresh red strawberrry fruit with a slight edge of funk from the cinsault. Crisp & Savoury. A great deal at $19.99 too! (May as well chill 2 btls at that price )

Oh, and I'm calling myself The Doctor now 😉 🍷

Holy Dinah Guys.

I *just* found my new favourite summer flass of Delicious Trouble.

So you may (or may not) know, one of my favourite tasting feedback lines is "well that's (insert quality statement here)...but you know what would make it better? A shot of gin.

Crabbies just released a Rhubarb Giner b**r. And Almira from just suggested adding shot of the Whitley's Rhubarb Ginger gin to it.

This maybe the only time I ever say "it's too bad I have a tee time after work. I just want a glass or 3 of this on a patio this gorgeous summer day" 😂

“You know what this needs? Gin. Out a shot of gin in that!”

If you know me, you’ve likely heard me say that *at least* once. Gin makes most things better - I promise.

I just had this very conversation with a guest and it inspired me to share a perfect weekend cocktail idea for those of us who have a hard time deciding what we want to drink.

Pamplune is an inexpensive, low alcohol w**e cocktail that’s infused with grapefruit and peach juice.
My suggestions to jazz it up a bit would be a shot of either this really pretty mixed berry gin (Brockmans) for a fruit explosion!
Or if you are a rhubarb fan, then use the Rhubarb & Ginger gin from Whitley Neil. Both gins use natural flavours and actually taste like their supposed to. No fake chemical fruit flavours at all.

It’s a Friday in May. Jazz it up a bit 🤗 We don’t always have to drink seriously. Sometimes we just want a drink!!
