So where did it all begin? In a wee little basement in the home of Christina Marcano. Christina started in the clothing business over ten years ago when she co-founded an active wear company called Skyler Clothing. Skyler grew quickly and by 2008 they had three stores over two-hundred wholesale accounts and regular appearances on the Shopping Channel and then…the recession hit. Like a ton of brick

s. The company started to spiral out of control and as a last ditch effort Christina went to pitch her case on CBC’s the Dragons Den. The response was phenomenal. She received an outpouring of support but after a bit of soul searching she realized Skyler wasn’t her true dream. She closed Skyler down and headed back to her basement where she got to work building her true dream - Silver Icing. An amazing brand that offers comfy chic clothing that won’t break the bank. In 2013 Silver Icing launched and is now a thriving online shop with a network of independent stylists. As a young mom, Christina knew how important a work life balance is. She was tired of driving 2 hours a day back and forth from work. She loved being able to make her kids lunch or take them to a park on a sunny afternoon. Being a stay at home working mom was exactly what her family needed and it is from this experience that she committed to building a company that other moms and women could be a part of. Her greater vision is to provide women with the option to balance life and work by having the opportunity to work from home during hours that don’t disrupt the family lifestyle. Becoming an Online Stylist does just that. It is the best of both worlds, everything is online so you can commit as much or as little as you like. You can work when the kids go to bed or nap during the day. Everything can be done online, including pop up shops, so there is no need to sacrifice evenings or weekends to host parties. Maddisen's Favourite Season Hoodie Review: Spoken like a true Canadian, hockey is our sport! This hoodie is super comfy and feels like a hug on a cold day. My favourite detail is the off centre draw string on the hood, it gives it a unique look! I'm typically a size small and wearing a small hoodie. I love the fit and how easy it is to wear with leggings because of the length!

Maddisen's Game Day Backpack Review: I'm the biggest fan of backpacks over a conventional purse and this one is no exception! The straps can be moved and customized to how you find it more comfortable to wear and it has lots of pockets to easily store your phone or important cards away that you need to grab quickly. It's the perfect size to fit all of your stuff that you'll need when you leave the house because we know we need loooots of things, I'm also guilty of this!

Kristina's Favourite Season Hoodie Review: Hockey Season is here, Go Oilers Go!!! Hockey parties, hockey rinks, road hockey it's all starting now! I love this color and I am wearing an XL which fits perfectly with a bit of give. The tie on the neck is on the side which I love and gives it originality. Of course ladies I paired this with my Distress to Impress Denim which I apparently live in, which is a size 16. Ps -Perfect Comfy hoodie to any hockey party!

Kim's Review: I seriously never want to take these off! These take comfy pants to a whole new level. Not only are they my fav red & black plaid, they're beyond comfortable. The pockets are fleece lined and so are the waistband and ankle cuffs. I'm in a sample size small but I would honestly prefer these a bit looser so I'd size up to a medium. These are a bit more on a fitted side. Nevertheless, they're fabulous!!

Carolina's Review: The Snap To It Cardigan is a great staple to have in your closet. Lightweight but still provides a nice layer of warmth. Wear it open or closed and so many colours to add to your wardrobe. I am wearing my usual size Small and I find it TTS. These bracelets are so pretty. I love the beading and they are super easy to adjust the toggle.

Kim's Review: As soon as I laid eyes on this I just knew I had to have one! I'm a huge sports fan, especially hockey as I'm sure lots of you are too, so I am in LOVE with this sweater! It's thicker, made from recycled cotton just like the cardi's and poncho's and has a similar feel. It's got nice stretch but my oh my are they ever beautiful! I'm wearing the sample size medium but I would size down to my regular size small in this. I can't wait to get mine!!!! Now the only question is what colour?!

Carolina's Review: Comfy pants that can be dressed up? Yes, please! I am wearing size Small in both of these joggers and they fit me TTS. They fit the same as the Fancy Pants Joggers and the Running Start Joggers. But, hello! Prints that elevate these comfy pants to the next level. I love that I can pair them with boots, heels or sneakers. This cardi is so nice! A long black cardi with pockets and nice smooth knit. I am wearing size Small and it is slightly oversized but I love it! I have the cuffs folded up once in with my All Or Nothing Top to give my wrists a pop of colour! Did I mention these earrings? Wowza! Gold dipped elegance💞
