I am so excited to finally share these! A set of custom St. Andrews by-the-Sea beads has arrived!

The set was put together using original artwork drawn by talented young local artist Jannique Slater of Jarea Art [Folk 'n Fine] and design layout by Cindy Kohler. Each bead celebrates something familiar and special about St. Andrews, including a humpback whale, sea star, seal, blue lobster, seagull, fishing boat “All Done,” Pendlebury Lighthouse, the bath house on Ministers Island, The Algonquin Resort St. Andrews By-The-Sea, and the windmill at Kingsbrae Garden. Plus, a special “St. Andrews By-the-Sea” tag charm featuring a humpback whale over a sunset.

I absolutely love how these turned out. It feels pretty special to create something inspired by our little seaside town, with the artwork drawn by a young local artist.

The bead sets will be available soon at both Buoy Up and Jarea Art [Folk 'n Fine], right here in downtown St. Andrews.

I also really love that this is something we can share between two local shops. Downtown is at its best when small businesses support one another, collaborate, and give both visitors and locals even more reasons to wander, discover, shop, and enjoy everything St. Andrews has to offer.

These beads are perfect for keychains, bag and phone charms, beadable pens, souvenirs, sensory tools, or for anyone who would simply like to carry a little piece of St. Andrews with them. We have supplies in stock too, if you would like to create something of your own!

They are even better in person, with a touchable glossy 3D textured finish. I cannot wait for everyone to see them.
