We drove off the ferry in the rain but we definitely experienced a warm welcome at Susannah Rose Quilt Patch. Thank you Christine and the gang… thais was a great way to start our Newfoundland adventure!

Stop fighting your fabric and start “drawing” with your thread!

Whether you’re quilting on a domestic sewing machine or a longarm, this workshop is designed to help you break through the free-motion barrier. Learn how to balance speed and movement to create smooth, flowing designs such as stippling, loops, and feathers. You’ll also explore machine setup, tension, movement, and techniques for building the muscle memory and confidence needed for successful free-motion quilting.

🪡 Machine Embroidery

Spend a relaxing day learning, creating, and connecting with fellow makers while completing **three projects**: a sewing machine tote, a cozy mug rug, and a handy zippered pouch.

Along the way, you’ll learn how to install zippers entirely on your embroidery machine, work confidently with clear vinyl, and build embroidery skills that you’ll be able to apply to future projects.

Did you watch Chloe's Breakfast Club on August 1?
This morning, I showed you how I use EQ8 to quickly resize patterns and get a closer estimate of fabric requirements easily and quickly.
The pattern is based on an original pattern by Villa Rosa Designs but we resized the block to highlight my client's preferred fabric choice. Also, instead of working on a scrappy approach, we are repeating the focus print in all the center squares.
My client will still be purchasing the pattern so she still supports the original designer and will be able to follow the instructions.
