We are so sad to hear of the passing of Roger Perry. He was a close family friend and talented artist. His art was often featured in our store. He will be missed but Lloyd will welcome him with open arms. xoxoxo
Roger Hugh Perry aged 90, left this Earth at 6:40 am April 4, 2020. He must have had an early tee time in Heaven.
Roger lost his heroic battle with multiple myeloma and subsequently Acute Leukaemia. Dad leaves to mourn his bride of 61 years, Jeannie ( Tweedy). Daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Jim Williams and favourite son Steven, daughter-in-law Michelle and grandchildren Sarah and Sami Williams, Michael and Scott Perry.
Roger was predeceased by his brother, Rev. Doug Perry.
Roger was born at a very early age in St. Catherines Ontario, November 29, 1929 to Gertrude and Major Richard H. Perry.
He was a former co-owner of Island Construction Limited and Manager of PEI Road Builders Association for 15 years.
Dad loved to have a good time , he also loved a bargain. Tuesdays you could find him at Value Village. Wednesdays, golfing with his Wagot golf group. Thursdays with the Hillsborough Rotary Club. Fridays, luncheon with the boys. And as much time as possible with family and friends at his beloved cottage in West Keppoch.
Dad loved most sports , particularly; tennis, skiing, basketball, football, fishing and golf. He was proud of shooting his age (89) last summer at Fox Meadow. Roger was also very artistic and had many hobbies including ; pottery, ceramics, and of course painting.
The family greatly appreciates the loving care of the QEH Oncology department and the doctors and nurses of THe Palliative Care Centre.
Due to Covid -19 restrictions, there will no no visitation or funeral at this time. A celebration of Rogerβs life will be held this summer.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the QEH Foundation (Cancer Treatment Centre) or THe Hospice Palliative Care Association of PEI. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to macleansfh.ca.
