Liam's Cinnamon Rolls is doing a food drive and looking for donations. We have a box in our store that we want to fill for him. For every donation we are donating a jar of honey. Plus for every purchase in our store we will also be donating a jar of honey. This young man is doing so many great things in this community, help us help him. Plus come in and get your name in the draw for 12 free cinnamon rolls. They are delicious we have ordered them.

Our great friend Brian MacEachern from BeeMac Apiary & Bee Rescue playing with his thermal camera.
Brian is a great breeder of queens.

Was playing around with my thermal camera in the bee yard. You can see the hot spot where the bees are clustered in the bottom box. They form a tight cluster around the queen to keep her, as well as the honey they are consuming warm. They vibrate their wing muscles to create heat and take turns on the outside of the cluster. As winter progresses and as they eat through their stored honey, they will move around the box and up into the top box to get at the rest of the honey.
The thermal camera is neat. I check on them a few times over the winter. Its interesting to see where they are in the box, but its really just nice to know they’re still alive 😁

Check out this awesome gift from our friends at KF Bees in St Thomas. Not sure why they are buying me the gift when they do so much for us, like keeping everything a beekeeper needs at all times but it sure is appreciated
