An update to post yesterday. Scaletrains responded to my email:
"Hi, Jeff.
I apologize. There was a typo in my previous email that caused some confusion.
I wrote:
“I also want to clarify that the America 250 locomotives and box sets are not eligible for retailer/wholesale pricing.”
That should have read:
“I also want to clarify that the America 250 locomotive box sets are not eligible for retailer/wholesale pricing.”
The individual America 250 locomotives listed on the retailer price sheets are eligible for the retailer pricing shown. The box sets are not eligible for retailer/wholesale pricing and are subject to the previously stated purchase limits.
I apologize for the error and the confusion it caused."
This is what i was took issue with. Not being able to order the locomotives individually at retailer pricing after receiving a retailer price sheet saying otherwise. I am disappointed that the sets are not available at retailer pricing but it is what it is
I didn't see the "**Limit two (2) of each boxed set SKU per customer" in small text in the original email. I scrolled right past that section.
Now we don't appreciate comments saying that our company is trying to be a scalper. We had only ordered between 10-15 of each (6) sets for a total of 75 sets for stock to get to 74k. If those people looked at our website and see the prices we are advertising, we are charging almost the same price once you factor in exchange rate.
It sucks for canadian customers who what to purchase these sets. Shipping cross border is expensive and can be subject the brokerage charges which are very costly.
