This past week I saw some new foilables at the local craft store and of course, had to scoop them up! 😊 I love how easy they are to make shiny, pretty cards.

I foiled them with Christmas colours of foil using my laminator. Some didn’t turn out as nice as others. ā˜¹ļø

After foiling I used various shaped dies to cut out the sentiments, then added some gems and they were good to go!

Anyway, this is my last post for this year as I will not likely be creating anything until after Christmas!

Wishing you all a very happy holiday! See you in 2024!

Just a quick post today. I finally created some cards from the panels that I made using the poinsettia embossing folder and die cut.

I kept them fairly simple as usual since the backgrounds are fairly busy! I added die cut sentiments, the diecut poinsettia, some gems and some glitter on the berries on the last two cards.

The small poinsettia flowers are from the dollar store and I think worked well with these.

This week I’ve been playing with a new embossing folder that also comes with a cutting die. I fell in love with this poinsettia folder and grabbed it at my local craft store.

I had fun embossing different cardstock colours and foil too!

For some of the panels I rubbed Christmas coloured inks and pastes as well as some with metallic gold and white too!

I haven’t made any cards yet, but since I had so many pics I thought I’d show the embossed panels this time and the finished cards next time!

This week I’ve been working with a stencil set. It’s made by PinkFresh and has three layers that you can use to add three different colours to your creation.

Using a sponge dauber, I added green for the first layer for the leaves. Second layer was red for the berries and brown for the third layer which just adds depth to the leaves.

I added the panels to green card bases, then added some red pearls for some of the berries. I then added a big Merry Christmas die cut in red foil for one of the cards. The second card I used green ink to stamp a sentiment onto a circle.

I like how these turned out and they were fairly quick as well!

This week I’m highlighting some cards I made with foiling sheets. I didn’t have any Christmas foiling sheets like these, so when I saw these at the local craft store, I had to scoop some up! šŸ˜†

Anyway, there were two different patterns… one with stars and one called berries and leaves. I’ve included pics of the supplies that I used (see captions for details).

The first card uses the gold foil background as well as the leftovers from last weeks stitching card technique! I also added a die cut with the word ā€œJoyā€ and a couple of gems.

The second card uses the green foil background and lots of red gems for the berries. I also added the word ā€œpeaceā€ diecut from red foil.

The third card uses the blue foil Star background. I added a diecut snowflake from blue foil to match as well as the words ā€œSeasons greetingsā€ and a big gem to finish.

These were fairly quick and easy, which is why I love using these foiling sheets!

This week I have a couple more Christmas cards.

I love the stitching dies, so I had to purchase this set when it came out a few weeks ago! šŸ™„

So I went with the standard red and green for the poinsettia and berries and holly. I’ve seen a lot of card samples on Pinterest with pastel colours etc.

I diecut the various pieces and used metallic threads in gold to do the stitching.

I used embossing folders for the card bases. One with Holly and berries and one with poinsettias.

I finished with diecut sentiments in red to match the poinsettia and berries.

Well it’s that time- time to start the Christmas cards! šŸ˜† I saw this technique online. They glued some glitter foil to a...

Well it’s that time- time to start the Christmas cards! šŸ˜†

I saw this technique online. They glued some glitter foil to a piece of cardstock. They used alcohol makers by randomly colouring with them on the foil piece. Then they used these pieces behind a die cut to just show off a bit of the foil.

1st pic- my supplies

2nd pic- a Christmas bauble card with gems added

3rd pic- a snowflake die cut card

4th pic- a big Merry Christmas sentiment die cut card

Next time I think I would use maybe darker colours of markers.

The glitter shows up better up close!

Hey!

Sorry I’ve not been posting all summer. I actually took the summer off and only created a couple of cards.

I was however quite busy, taking courses and learning new skills.

One course I took, was on Creating Digital Planners. I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard of them, but it’s basically a planner, day timer etc but available digitally to use in planner software such as One Notes or GoodNotes. I use GoodNotes on my iPad.

I created a couple of dream catcher planners using the software called Canva, which is a design program to create pretty much anything. This is also the other course I took Canva Fundamentals. I created a dated planner and an undated planner. I’ve included screenshots below of the finished planner cover and the first page with index down the side as well as the black bullet journal which I just got started.

I started creating the bullet journal, but there are so many ways to go with it, it’s sometimes overwhelming!

Anyway, I just wanted give an update with what I’ve been up to creatively this summer! I hope everyone had a great summer as well!

The last few weeks you may have noticed an addition of nautical cards, jewelery etc.

I am planning to attend the Petticodiac Farmers Market and wanted to have more of a theme to my products that I offer there. The market starts next Thursday evening.

I will still add other greeting cards and techniques to this page, but for the summer expect a lot of nautical items!

With that in mind, I have a few new items available (limited quantities):

Big whale necklace

Small whale necklace

Dolphin seaglass necklace

Whale tail seaglass necklace

Welcome back!

This week I’ve been working on more foilable cards—this time , Nautical ones! I saw these new foilables at the Nic Nook and stopped in to grab some as they are two of my favourite things!

Anyway, I foiled 8 or 9 nautical panels with various colours of foil.

Here are the cards I came up with. I mostly added some gems and sentiments of course!

All cards include an envelope and are blank inside so you can add your own message!

This week I’m highlighting some cards made with the cast offs of the foil cards I made a couple of weeks ago. (Pic 1)

So when I used the patterned toner card fronts, there is always extra foil that doesn’t get used. A few companies sell full sheet toner card fronts and I got a couple of packs from Pink & Main. (Pic 2)

So I took a card front and a piece of leftover foil that I used to make a mandala card with a few weeks ago. (Pic 3)

I ran them through the laminator and ended up with the reverse mandala image for my card. (pic 4)

I added the card front to a cardstock base and added some gems and die cut and or foil sentiments. Kept them simple, to highlight the foil!
