Yesterday, March 19, 2026 was the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of Golden Eagle Organ Company. The first job being at St. Mary's Cathedral rectory in Winnipeg on a Baldwin player piano in 1996. Now, over 5500 invoices later it is still going, although now in my spare time.

Thank you to everyone who has been a client, thank you to everyone who has shown support and encouragement, thank you to those from whom I learned, especially David McDowell and the American Institute of Organbuilders, Thank you to the Credit Union that was willing to put their trust in this business at the very beginning, and thank you to my landlords, and above all, thank you to my employees whose labour and willingness made otherwise impossible tasks come to fruition.

I got a big surprise when Tracy Mann, my elementary school buddy, showed up at work and I found out that he became a professional drummer and played with my boss for ten years in the early part of their careers!!! It was great to get together again and catch up a little. This is Al with the big Dug in his arms, Tracy on the right with Al's new puppy Betty, and me with Gabrielle.
