The Opportunity Shop

The Opportunity Shop The Opportunity Thrift Shop has been in business for over 50 years. The Guild was formed by a membership committee in 1959.

We are not a consignment; we take donations only. We sell:
- jewelry, vintage/ antique items
- gently used clothing and footwear for women, men and children
- high-end boutique section
- books, puzzles, household items
- housewares
- smaller furniture items (bookcases, chairs, stools, lamps and fans)
- bedding, linens, towels, curtains, fabric
**we are unable to sell toys and baby furniture due t

o insurance restrictions. The store progressed from a few volunteers to 40 volunteers, four part-time employees and is open five days a week. Our volunteers work shifts of three hours or three and one-half hours a week each. This relates to over 6,000 hours per year! Volunteers meet the public and enjoy a sociable time working with others. Volunteers do a variety of jobs such as helping customers, cashiering, pricing and displaying items for sale.

Summer greetings from the YXE Opportunity Thrift Shop!

Hard to believe but summer is starting to fade and before you know it, we will be starting to think about autumn.

Watch for sales of summer clothing etc. in fact the sale has started already.

There's a huge supply of wonderful fall/winter clothes waiting in the wings to take their places in the shop.

Hello thrifters. Summertime is treating us well.....even the mosquitoes have moved on.

The summertime inventory is still filling the racks with so many great looking items from clothing, shoes, household items and a few surprises in the collectable catagory.

Soon the autumn/ winter items will start appearing.

Again thanks to the donors who make this all happen.
