The photograph captures Swedish immigrant, Charles Wilden, bowing his head in prayer. It's a powerful image of pious man with a simple, humble meal.

I don't usually post teddybears or anything this "modern"... but Ganz is worth mentioning. Ganz was founded in the 1950s by Holocaust survivors. It is a Canadian company.
While this specific bear (Cornsilk) was not made in the 50s, it still speaks to the strength and resilience of the human spirit.

Cornsilk was born in 2000 and there's no way we will even call him vintage...but he's still available for adoption.
