Hello sault ste marie!

I am pleased to introduce Thriftorthread, a local thrift store that aims to encourage members of our community to recycle clothing and limit contribution to the fast fashion and disposible consumer society we live in!

How it works?
Most items sold are listed on our instagram! Our page is public and accessible via Google to those who do not have an Instagram account! Items listed are either hand selected hype and retro thrift finds, upcycled items or vintage clothing that has been donated!

Why?
For quite some time mainstream media and news platforms have been discussing the topic of waste and how we can all help by making small changes, thrifting and recycling clothes is an idea that has been around for ages, when we talk about the benefits of recycling clothes this opens the door for more conversation about how much waste the clothing industry contributes too.

We accept clothing donations and will pass along any items we do not use to local shelters or people in need! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, ideas or concerns! As a young adult who has a passion for the environment and a passion for clothing I thought why not combine the two and try to share my passion with the community :)
