Local haskap season is here, and it's a quick one. A farm in Richards Landing is opening their bushes for pick-your-own starting Tuesday, July 8 (weather permitting). Haskaps ripen fast and the window is short, only about 6 days, so don't sit on this one.

Baskets are $28 for 3 L, cash only, and payment is up front before you head into the field. A few things worth knowing before you go: no children, no pets, no smoking or va**ng on the property, and they can only take pickers during posted hours.

Opening hours: every day, 9 am to 12:30 pm and 6 pm to 8:30 pm

Heads up: they're heads-down in harvest and won't be answering calls or messages. If the berries get picked out early, they'll post an update to let everyone know the season has wrapped.
