Happy Monday
It’s been an overcast and cool weekend, yet it’s still pretty dry out there. It wasn’t the best weather for the garage sales but not the worst either. We rented some movies to folks, which was great.
Tom and I played 18 on Highland Valley on Sunday. It was a good day to play, not too hot. I didn’t have my best game but I’m starting to improve again. Then we took a walk by the lake. We found the baby ducks and I took pictures but I forgot the camera at home. I’m going to have to find out if I have little dark spots on the lake or cute fuzzy ducks 😊
I got the freezers defrosted and cleaned last week. The front freezer is loaded and mostly ready to go again. The back freezer is acting up a little. I’m hoping it will settle out to the right temperature. Got to keep an eye on the temperatures both machines are at. Commercial freezers are ridiculously expensive, and getting them repaired isn’t cheap either, so I’m hoping it’s not anything major and both are working right for another season. Like in past years if it gets really hot we will shut scooping down to protect the freezers and the ice-cream (not an issue this week 😉)
Got some chocolate fudge cones setting up. I’ve been playing with caramel, chocolate and fudge over the “off season” all in small batches. Definitely not ready to scale up to full commercial candy making. Having a heck of a time getting supplies but I’m not giving up 🙂
Well it’s time to finish this off. I have more work to do in the kitchen, do some cleaning then home to do more cleaning 😝. Hoping to get some good sleep tonight too 🥱 Hope you’re having a good Monday and remember to keep the positive going all week 😊 -Tina
