In January I had said I was hoping to be wrapped up by the end of the month 🤣🤣🤣🤣. March is upon me, I'm definitely not wrapped up, but I am 100% ok with it, and my customer says she is too. I am not one to make a plan, because I end up disappointed, or frustrated, so I really like to just go with the flow. This kitchen didn't really have a plan - there was a rough idea, a few sketches, and some must haves, but the rest is just flow, finding out what will work and what doesn't. I have remade things more than once, but that's part of how I learn, I do it, then figure out how to do it better. I will continue to say many thanks to Jenn for letting me aggressively elbow my way into this project. Not a lot of people would let me essentially move into their new home, leave 16 coffee cups, a pair of slides, 2 toques and half of my tools lying around, and still welcome me back 🤣🤣. Her patience when I'm emptying a drawer or a cupboard because "this time I've figured it out" has been unwavering, and that amazes me. So days definitely feel like I'm going backwards, but it's still movement, so I'll take the win!

I am the furthest thing from a morning person, even if I'm up early I don't have any ambition until the afternoon. I definitely have learned to embrace that and more often than not I'm in my shop until 2am ish. Not for everyone, but it works for me! Tonight I'm building more cabinets for the kitchen and porch!

Here's a better peek at what I've been up to. The end is getting closer, but there's still a bit more to do. Upper and lower trim, tweaking of doors on the other side, one whole cabinet that we've decided is a need, but it definitely feels like progress is being made. I have learned and done so many things that I never in my wildest dreams would have thought I'd get to do, but here I am. I can't wait to show off the finished product, and reveal some of the secrets this kitchen is keeping. Thanks for following along on this adventure!

I'm plugging along on this giant reno project I've been working on. I can't say I've finished anything, but there's definitely been a lot of progress! Aside from a full kitchen, I've also been working on porch/mudroom storage. This project as a whole has been very "fluid" with new projects and changes being made frequently, which for me is fantastic, because I honestly thrive on a lack of a plan (I know I'm more than slightly crazy 🤪). I cannot wait to fully reveal everything that I've been up to the last few months. Until then, I'll try to post little photo dumps here and there!

Jeez Louise.... it's been fu***ng near a year since I posted last... at this point I'm not even going to try to change! Big things have been happening behind the scenes, though. I spent the summer building a rock garden, with a creek, that I like to call "lady land" when I wasn't muling boulders I was definitely relaxing in the shade admiring my work. The last few months I've been working on a huge project that I essentially aggressively told my pal I was doing - thankfully she is patient. This opportunity is huge, and I needed to take it. I am building a whole ass kitchen FROM SCRATCH. I have learned so much and have enjoyed every minute of it (except the 30000 slivers and giving myself tendinitis/carpal tunnel). Stay tuned for the finished project!

Olah! Just thought I'd hop on and do some apologies - a good month ago facebook decided that they no longer wanted me - I'm not sure how I pi**ed off the Facebook gods, but my personal page is gone. Because I had this business page linked to my personal account, I've had a bitch of a time getting back in here, plus I hopped on a plane and had the best time in Varadero, Cuba. I'm back in Canada and finally figured out how to get into the business side of things. I personally no longer exist on Facebook and messenger, but buzzed and building will live on! Sorry for the messages I have neglected, I'll be getting back to everyone asap.
