The programs at Wild Music School are amazing and really thriving! If you aren't already involved but considering learning a string instrument (or returning to one you may have played some time ago), you will find a home with Rebecca in one of her programs or private lessons!

And of course, if you are in need of an instrument to rent or purchase, violin rentals start at $28+hst per month and we would be so thrilled to support your journey with a high-quality instrument!

Just a girl at her bench hoping that shaving a stick for a few hours might help process the big feelings of heavy loss for our community…

I do love how when something big happens here, time almost stops… so we can make space and hold each other. I’m sending all my love to those most impacted by the losses we’ve had this week. And trying to keep smiling and keep laughing, and keep making music, because I know that’s the only way forward ☺️❤️.

We took a break for summer, but the music just can’t be stopped! The kids have been asking, so we are having a teen jam session this afternoon 1:30-3:30! Sandy and Lucy will be here ready to rock with whoever shows up! 🎶🎸🥁

When summer continuing education means a visit to the woods in Cape Breton to meet an esteemed fiddle maker. I have felt a little lost as a novice luthier trying to learn in a rural community so far from anyone to learn from… and yet Otis Tomas has been doing this his entire life and I learned that he is entirely self-taught! Solid resources, materials, and online connections can take you pretty far it seems, and experience and skill can take you the rest of the way 😁🤩🎶

We are a full-service bowed instrument shop. We have instrument rentals and sales, we offer music lessons, instrument repairs and restoration, & handmade bows.

It’s that time!! 🎶🎻🎸🥁🎹

Our Spring studio recital is tomorrow at 2:30 at St. John’s United Church right in Sherbrooke.

We have by far the most student performers we have ever had, it’s going to be such an amazing afternoon of music-making. Students have been working hard all year long, and this is their moment to shine and show off their skills. We will have guitar, piano, violin, cello, and drum students all ready to rock tomorrow!

What an absolute honour to have been asked to adjudicate for the provincial music festival in PEI this week. It’s always such a joy getting to hear young students share and show off their their skills and hard work. I heard some really outstanding performances at all levels, these students have so much to be proud of!

I’m thinking it might be time to have some of our own Riverbend students attend our music festival next year 😎🎶.
