Today I stopped for a pedicure with Jess and I could not be happier with the results. I went in with a few broken toenails and some injuries that can make appointments uncomfortable, but Jess was so patient, gentle, and accommodating throughout the entire experience. She worked around my injuries with care and still managed to make my nails look amazing by the end of the appointment.

Three years ago I went to Nova Scotia and got the worst sunburn of my life. My shoulders were so badly burned that when I talked to a pharmacist, she told me I needed to go to the hospital. Instead, I rushed to a health food store and started creating what would later become the Be Gone Toner. Within 3 days my shoulders started healing, the pain calmed down, and all that was left was dry skin. When I got back to Edmonton, I began exfoliating my shoulders and that’s when my real skin healing journey began. Sometimes the hardest moments lead to the biggest breakthroughs, and that experience became part of the foundation of Bee Bare Botanicals.

The Be Gone line was never created to just sit on a shelf. It came from real life experiences, learning about skin recovery, and wanting something that helped support the skin barrier while encouraging healthy looking skin renewal. Three weeks ago we placed an order for shea butter so we could keep restocking your favorite Bee Bare Botanicals products. At first the shipment was sitting in Ontario, then somehow it got sent all the way to America and ended up stuck in duty for almost 2 weeks 😅 After finally arriving, it turned out to be the wrong type of shea butter, so we had to place another order right away.

Now the new shipment is supposed to arrive later today, but the tracking has already been mixed up again and nobody seems to know where the order is 🤦‍♂️ Fingers crossed it shows up because the second it arrives we are jumping straight into making fresh sugar scrubs, body balms, and lip balms for you amazing people. Small business life can be chaotic sometimes, but we are pushing through to keep bringing you plant based skin care that actually works 💛

Mental health matters 💛

One of the biggest things I’ve learned through building Bee Bare Botanicals is that skin care is connected to so much more than just your skin. Stress, anxiety, burnout, and emotional exhaustion can all affect how we feel both inside and out. That’s one of the reasons the Be Gone line was created. I wanted products that support balancing the body and the mind while helping people feel more confident in their skin.

The craziest part about starting "Bee Bare Botanicals" (https://beebarebotanicals.ca?utm_source=chatgpt.com) wasn’t having a business plan… it was trying to help calm my anxiety. 💛

At the Mom’s Collective Market, the host asked me what got me into skincare. Truthfully, the Be Gone Toner was originally just my anxiety spray. As I started learning more about skincare and natural ingredients, I wondered what would happen if I combined my calming spray with a sugar scrub. That small idea turned into something bigger than I ever imagined… and now here we are. 🌿🐝
