If I could only keep ONE sourdough tool in my kitchen, it would honestly be my reusable bread bags.

Not my bannetons.
Not my bread lame.
Not even my dough whisk.

Because after all the feeding, mixing, folding, shaping, proofing, and baking... I still need a way to keep my bread fresh.

These bags live on my counter, in my freezer, and usually have at least one loaf tucked inside them at all times.

They're perfect for sourdough, sandwich bread, buns, bagels, and pretty much anything bread-related.

I designed them because I was tired of wasting plastic bags and tired of beautiful homemade bread drying out too quickly.

Years later, they're still one of the most-used products in my products.

Sourdough is basically a toxic relationship with flour. One minute you’re feeling confident, your starter is doubling, your dough is silky, and you think, “Wow… I was born for this.” Then suddenly someone on Facebook says, “Actually, your crumb structure indicates improper fermentation and your score angle is wrong,” and now you’re questioning every life decision you’ve ever made.

Turning one batch of ciabatta dough into two smaller loaves is one of my favourite ways to make quick artisan bread or garlic-style side loaves. After dividing the dough into two pieces, I gently shape each loaf and season the tops with olive oil, melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, oregano, and parmesan cheese for a rich, savoury crust with incredible flavour. The combination creates a soft, airy interior with a golden cheesy finish that’s perfect alongside pasta, soups, salads, or sliced for sandwiches.

Some tools just feel good to use. This whisk has quietly become one of my favourite pieces in the kitchen — not because it’s trendy, but because it’s simple, functional, and beautifully made.

One of the biggest reasons I love it is that it’s fully wood. There’s no metal loop inserted into a wooden handle like many Danish dough whisks have — which is often the exact point where they loosen, wobble, or snap over time.

This design feels solid, smooth, and incredibly comfortable to work with.

I love the weight of it in your hand, the simplicity of it, and how effortlessly it mixes starter, batters, and dough without feeling harsh or clunky.

It’s one of those baking tools that ends up living on your counter instead of tucked away in a drawer.

Thoughtfully made.
Made to last.
Made to be loved.

The Double Loop Danish Dough Whisk is finally back at Summit Sourdough.
