The Golden Ticket isn't the only treasure to be found this Indie Bookstore Day...Saturday April 25th marks the return of our .ca -wide book scavenger hunt! Watch our stories on Friday and Saturday for clues about where around Norfolk County these books are hidden, and bring the card inside to the shop on Indie Bookstore Day and exchange it for one of many fabulous prizes, including treats from our favourite downtown pals, discounts, shop gift cards, and bookish merch, and our grand prize of a paperback club subscription for you to keep or give as a gift!

Been a minute since I (re)introduced myself on here-- 👋! I'm Catherine, the owner of Firefly & Fox Books! We've been here in for four and a half(!) years, connecting folks in .ca with good books for even better people. I love middle-grade children's fiction, a good dystopia, poetry, fancy cookbooks, cozy mysteries, romance, picture books, the occasional sci-fi or fantasy, memoirs, epistolary novels, Anne of Green Gables, and books that make me cry (and other things, too! this is just a top hits literary list atm). You might find me at the shop, but you might also meet Alex, , , or --we love a lot of different genres, but are united in our shop policy of opposition to movie tie-in covers. Our shop supports local artists (peep the mugs in this photo, or come grab a or bookmark next time you're in!), local theatre (pleased to be sponsoring Chess: The Musical in Concert this March!), and our local community. We believe in people over profits, community over corporations, and the power of sharing our stories to make a better world. Come visit, and let us help you find your next favourite book!
