Whew... we are finally almost done wrapping up all the pieces from this weekend’s Welcome Autumn event. 🍂
Mother Nature was once again kind to us, the turnout was spectacular, and the day was everything we had hoped it would be.
Although this event is very much a passion project for us, I need to remind everyone that it is ABSOLUTELY not possible to bring it to life—or make it quite as dreamy as it was—without the help, generosity and support of our community.
So, although this may be a little long-winded, please bear with me while I send some very well-deserved gratitude to the people who helped make it happen...
To the Slave Lake and District Chamber of Commerce and BWorthy Bra Boutique— Michelle and Janice—for partnering with us on this crazy little idea and helping make the day happen.
Falcon Equipment Rentals & Travelling Timbers for your generosity and support.
Slave Lake Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Ltd. for trusting us with an enclosed trailer so we could collect allllll the patio furniture, and other things we used to transform the street.
Earl at Platinum Fuels - Slave Lake for fueling our fires for the s'mor roasters.
One of my besties, Jen, who shares my particular brand of madness and obsession with the little details—but has way more talent for somehow making it all come together in the middle of absolute chaos.
My hubby, who definitely did not sign up for any of this, but somehow ends up doing an enormous amount behind the scenes anyway.
My team—Gabriella, Coralee, Angie & Kira—who are always ALL IN. They work the extra hours, tolerate the chaos, and somehow keep rolling with whatever crazy idea comes next.
Trevor Olsen, Norm Olsen and Kyle Stach for the super cool adds to the street.
PS Pendrak for lending us her animals, which made the day for so many kids—and Flour & Hen for supplying the performing chickens. ;)
And to my incredibly generous—and trusting —friends and community members who let us raid their homes, yards and collections for all those special pieces: Stacey, Jenna, Marlee, Lynda, Lesley, Brenda, Suzanne, Tracy, Pam and everyone else who offered.

To all of our vendors for showing up and bringing so much to the day, and to the Slave Lake Farmers' Market for joining us.

There are so many moving pieces behind an event like this, and I know there are names I’m probably forgetting. Please know that every offer to help, every borrowed item, every hour worked, every vendor who showed up, every share of our posts—and every person who simply came downtown and enjoyed the day—helped make it what it was..
