We have a winner! Congratulations Nikki Kluss!

Happy days flower lovers! Today is the day, my CSA is open to new subscribers ! For the summer of 2023 I am once again offering floral subscriptions in three and six week installments.

To celebrate, and spread the word, I am giving away a three weeks of blooms to a winner I will draw next Friday January 13th. Please like and share this post on Facebook, and/or add it to your stories on Instagram for extra chances to win. Tag a friend who loves flowers and they will be entered as well!

Please email or message me with any questions. I hope to hear from you soon.

All the best,

Tis the season to create more warmth and light by giving.

I have joined forces with
And to help raise some funds for the Driftwood School house.

The schoolhouse is a historic building and a special spot for many. The building is maintained by awesome volunteers in our community.

is doing winter mini-sessions there this weekend and part of the proceeds are going to the building. I would like to help as well, by auctioning off this evergreen wreath.

Large and lush, this simple circle is filled with cedar, juniper, pine and spruce boughs. Then polished off with a silk sash.

Bidding starts at 30$ and will go up in 5$ increments. You can post your bid only on this post please to keep things streamlined.

Bidding is open until 8pm Sunday, then delivery is available to the highest bidder early next week.

Thanks for supporting this great cause in our little neighborhood.

Spring CSA's were released yesterday! I am taking a break from my longer summer Subscriptions in favor of this mini one and hopefully a fall one later as well!

This summer, I am shifting gears and offering a smaller early summer/spring series with a lesser level of commitment. This petit CSA is taking the place of my usual four and eight week full summer run. I am hoping to do an additional late summer series as well, of which first priority will be given to those who subscribe to the spring one.

This small CSA will involve three bouquets over three weeks in late June/early July (likely beginning the last week of June if weather cooperates!) With their investment, subscribers will receive three large mason jar arrangements packed with the most delightful early summer blooms including ranunculus and peonies at the forefront.

Spaces are limited for this 2022 floral subscription and are filled as payments are received via e transfer to [email protected]
Book some beauty for yourself or a loved one, and have some bounty to look forward to in 2022! The spring subscriptions are 100$ and gift cards are available for those who wish to gift something lovely and local.

Wishing everyone a lovely Wednesday morning! Please contact me if you have any questions!

Happy December!
Emma

Ink and Anchor's CSA flower subscription provides flower lovers with the opportunity to regularly receive premium, sustainably grown flowers, freshly harvested, all summer long. This programme offers a striking alternative to imported grocery store bouquets. I pour a great deal of love and care into our flowers and it shows. They are grown without chemicals, using techniques that give back to the earth. Buying a flower subscription for yourself or someone you love is a wonderful opportunity to get flowers guaranteed to be fresh, fragrant, and full of life every week. Memberships are transferable and may be shared with family and friends.

What is a CSA?

CSA is an abbreviation for Community Supported Agriculture. When you become a member of our CSA, you are buying a "share" of the flowers that we produce each season.

For four or eight weeks (depending on the share), I will arrange the season's most beautiful flowers for you and have them available for pick-up at Mainerz. Our CSA members, by paying for a share up front, support us as we plan for the coming season. Your payment enables us to purchase new and exciting flower and seed varieties, restock supplies, make repairs, and invest in equipment and infrastructure. Your support helps to make the success of our season possible.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between a local farm and a group of buyers. As a CSA β€œmember” you pay in advance for a share of the season’s harvest that we deliver to a drop-off point in your neighborhood or community. Our CSA members provide the farm with financial and moral support by committing for a whole season and help us to offset heavy costs in the spring (seeds, bulbs, supplies, equipment, etc.). In return, we commit to providing you with high quality, local, sustainably grown flowers. From tulips, anemones and delphiniums in spring to dahlias and peonies in the summer, our bouquets reflect seasonal rhythms and brighten your home or office.

Each bouquet has a selection of seasonal flowers valued at approximately $35. Throughout the season the ingredients in your bouquet will vary. Here is a sample of what flowers may be included in a bouquet (typically 4-8 varieties per bouquet with foliage):

June/July - Allium, peonies, sweet peas, ranunculus, anenomes, astralangia, snap dragons, and tulips.

July/August - globe thistle, dahlias, lilies, sea holly, strawflowers, zinnias, amaranth, statice, scabiosa, delphinium, bunny tails and panicum grass.

Care instructions and floral solution are provided with each carefully arranged bouquet.

Last summer my bouquets were dropped off at Mainerz on mainstreet in Smithers on Wednesday mornings ready for pick up all afternoon or the next day if you are unable to come in. This year will look fairly similar with the season running from mid to late June until mid August. If you select the weekly option, you pick up your blooms each week for eight weeks in a row. If the four week option is more appealing you will receive a bouquet every other week over the 8 week span (I split up my four week options and four week subscribers will be offered choice on which week they start on a first come, first serve basis). The exact dates will be confirmed later in the season and opened up for you to indicate preference.

Spaces are limited for my subscriptions, and last year I sold out in the early spring. I am offering spaces to last year's subscribers first, and then all of you who have shown early interest before opening it up to the general public if spaces remain. I officially reserve your place on my subscription programme once I receive payment in full (120/220) or a deposit (60/120 - with the remaining due by June 30th). E transfers can be sent to : [email protected]

As of today, I am opening up spaces to all of you on a first come, first serve basis. I am hoping to have space for everyone as I am expanding my list, but on the off chance that everyone wants the weekly option, I may run out of room. Please reserve your spot as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Thank you so much for your support in the slow flower movement. Your investment means the world to me, and allows me to keep chasing my floral dreams whilst providing sustainable flowers to our community.

Please email or message me with any questions. I hope to hear from you soon.

All the best,

Emma Hoffman
