Northern Doodle Stained Glass Stained Glass for sale. Framed pictures, lanterns, garden markers, snowshoes, and much more! Unique and special gift ideas!

I am a self-taught stained glass artist. I chose the name " Northern Doodle" because of several reasons: I live in northern British Columbia, I own a Goldendoodle dog, and many of my designs begin as doodles. Much of my stained glass is a reflection of our life in the north and our past adventures when my husband and I owned a dog sledding excursion business. If you wish to order anything you see on my page, please remember that I can never make an exact replica as I cannot always purchase the same glass. Also, since it is glass, it does not always break exactly the same!

This commissioned piece was challenging but l really enjoyed the whole process of drawing the design (from photos of this lakeside cabin and the two boats), choosing the right colours of glass, the cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering and then adding the patina before I was finally able to hold it up and see the light shine through! (As with all stained glass pieces, it looks different in all lights and against different backgrounds.)

It seems early to be thinking of Christmas craft fairs but I am busy making items for this show at Smithers Secondary School on Nov. 27th and 28th, as well as the Telkwa Artisan Festival on Nov. 21st and Winter Gold on Nov. 13th and 14th. 😃🎄

I can share this sunflower now that it has been gifted. The sunflowers in my garden won't be around much longer, but this one will last forever.🌻
